flowers & Stories

Follow us following the flowers.

The Texas highways are lined with wildflowers right now, which makes the many miles we will be traveling this week full of expectation instead of dread. It’s a reminder of God’s extravagant love along our journey.

This week has Cindy and me on the road. Monday, we are in Abilene, and Tuesday, in Midland, meeting with friends and partners as I continue raising prayer support for the Acts2Movement.

Wednesday and Thursday, I’ll be in Edmond, Oklahoma, meeting with the team at YouVersion for conversations connected to the Evangelism Roundtable.

Then I’ll rush home to celebrate Catherine, who is marking 40 years of service at First Baptist Athens. I had the privilege of serving alongside her for 27 of those years, and it will be a joy to honor her faithfulness.

We are making final preparations to leave next Tuesday for Denmark, where I’ll help the Denmark Baptist Convention launch the Acts2Movement.

My ribs are getting better—still a little nagging pain—but I’m grateful to be back on the road.

If you’re the praying kind, I’d appreciate prayers this week for safe travel, meaningful conversations, continued healing, and for the upcoming work in Denmark.

And along the way, I’m enjoying these reminders of God’s beauty across Texas
