On Monday, I had the joy of being with John Whitten and Taylor Cruse at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church in Abilene. They’ve just launched the 40-day campaign we developed for the Baptist World Alliance—and standing on the foundation of their new sanctuary, seeing the Scriptures and prayers they had inscribed the day before, was deeply moving. There’s something powerful about literally building on the Word and the dreams God has given.

We made a drop-by visit at FBC Abilene and made a new friend

On Tuesday, we spent time with Darin Wood at First Baptist Church in Midland. We talked about what God is doing around the world and how we can continue to deepen our partnership in the mission ahead. And yes—their sanctuary is as beautiful as the work God is doing through their people.

So proud of these friends. Grateful for their leadership. And expectant for what God will do as we keep moving toward 2033—together.
